Big Ben and Little Ben Robots - knitting pattern for beginners with photo tutorials
Big Ben and Little Ben are handy little robots.
This listing is for patterns for you to knit your own robot chums, and although it is designed for beginners, experienced knitters may also enjoy making their own toy.
Big Ben has a back pocket for stashing secrets or spare fuel packs, and a concealed front panel with buttons. He also has an aerial which can be used as a handle for carrying around.
The pattern is 27 pages in total, it is written row by row so it is easier for beginners to follow, and includes instructions and lots of step by step construction photos to help you make your robots.
To make your robots you will need to know how to knit, purl, cast on, cast off, i-cord and sewing seams, increases and decreases. The pattern includes photo tutorials on how to change colours, make i-cord, increase (KFB) and decrease (K2TOG) stitches, sew seams and make a yarnover buttonhole.
All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles (except the i-cord aerial which is made on two double pointed needles).
The finished robots are 30 cm and 17 cm tall.
