Our 5th square of the Big Boy Blanket is a bold, red firefighter’s helmet! Little ones sure do love fire trucks, and they’ll love this hat square, too!

These squares are created with tapestry crochet. Row-by-row written instructions are provided using single crochet. A graph is also provided to allow you to use half-double crochet, puff stitches, or even corner-to-corner. You can weave in the ends or back your blanket with fabric–you’re only limited by your imagination!

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn: 1 skein each of Blue (A), Black (B), Red (C), Yellow (D).

Materials: US Size I/9 (5.5mm) crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors

Difficulty: Easy
