This pattern is designed to use DK weight yarn. Although, the vest pictured is done using 2 strands of fingering/sock weight yarn (a solid and a varigated). If you choose to go this route, you will need double the yardage. For example; If making the Size 4 vest which calls for 350 yards, you will need 350 yards of both a solid and 350 yards of a varigated fingering/sock weight.
