Colder days ahead. Be prepared for sweater weather!

Big Cables is a bulky sweater worked in cables, garter stitch, moss stitch and twisted stitches.

The body is worked bottom up and in the round until armholes, then in rows. Shoulders are grafted together. Stitches for sleeves are knitted up around armholes, and the sleeves are worked top down in the round.

Sizes: S/M (L/XL)
Sample is shown in size S/M on bust size 85 cm.

Finished measurements:
bust circumference 114 (124) cm / 45.5 (49.5) inches
length from shoulder to hem 65 cm
length from underarm to hem 45 cm
sleeve length from underarm 46 cm

Measured while work is laid out flat. Sweater may “grow” 2-3 cm in length while wearing it.

Intended ease 20-30 cm / 8-12 inches.

Yarn:
Super bulky weight.
The sample was knit using Rowan Big Wool, (100g/80m) colour 07 Smokey, 900 g /720 m for both sizes.

Gauge:
8 sts and 12 rows/rounds = 10 cm in stocking stich.
Needle size: 12 mm.
Please note: The sweater is worked on needle size 12 - this needle size was, however, not an option in the Ravelry “set up”.
