I created this cowl with the free skein of Knit Pick’s Biggo, I scored during their recent sale. So, free yarn…free pattern. Seems fair.

The cowl is knit flat, sideways and then the last row is seamed to the cast on edge, to make a tube. I used a 3 needle bind off, because I’m too lazy to sew, but you could sew the ends together with a mattress stitch, if you prefer. When it’s worn, turn the sewn/bound off edge to the inside and put it at the back of the neck, so it’s not obvious and doesn’t disturb the drape.

Note there is a 3 stitch garter edge on each long side, so every row starts and ends with K3.
