My brother, Bill, served in the military like so many of our brave men and woman. I was home visiting for a short period and wanted to knit up a few hats for him before leaving. This yarn reminded him of his time spent in the hot sands of the Middle East, so I knitted this hat for him as a small thank you brother!

The hat was worked in the round using US5 (3.75mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle for the ribbing and Size US6 (4mm) 16” (40cm) circular needles for the body of the hat. You will need two needles for working the crown.

Gauge: 22sts and 30 rows = 4” (10cm) in St st worked in rounds.

♥I am happy to help if you have any questions along the way!
Enjoy!
