Knit in the round in one piece, this infinity cowl is worked in a neck-hugging, faux rib texture pattern. Beginning with a Long Tail Cast On and finishing with a Latvian Bind Off creates nearly identical edges that are both sturdy and stretchy. Worked in a worsted weight yarn, this piece is warm and versatile without being bulky.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS
122 cm/48” circumference and 30.5 cm/12” height, after blocking

MATERIALS
Approximately 603 m/660 yd worsted weight yarn

Shown in Cascade 220 Heathers (100% Wool; 201m/220 yd per 100 g/3.53 oz skein) in colour Birch Heather (9564).

NEEDLES
One 100 cm/40”* circular needle, size 4.0 mm/US 6 (or size needed to obtain gauge)

*A shorter needle could be used if necessary, as long as it can comfortably accommodate the number of stitches.

GAUGE
22 stitches & 30 rounds = 10 cm/4” in Texture Pattern, after blocking

*Due to the nature of the Texture Pattern, this piece grows and stretches quite a bit with blocking and wear. For this reason, it is imperative that gauge is measured AFTER blocking. Otherwise the piece will end up being too big. Pre-blocking gauge is closer to 25 stitches & 30 rounds. The sample measured just 109 cm/43” in circumference before blocking, and grew to 120 cm/48” after being wet blocked very gently.

ADDITIONAL TOOLS
Stitch marker, tapestry needle
