This is a “tweet” project for intermediate crocheters to try! When finished, the baby birds are 3” tall (with eggs that fit each bird perfectly) and the grownup birds are 6.5” tall. Lastly, the nest is spacious enough to fit both eggs.

Required Skills:

• Create a magic circle (or magic ring)

• Crocheting in a round

• Crocheting in rows

• Crocheting in front loops and back loops

• Decrease stitches (invisible decreasing is used for this project)

• Embroidering

• Increase stitches

• Sewing pieces together to form the doll

• Size G/7 or 4.25mm Crochet Hook (for nest)

• Size F/6 or 3.75mm Crochet Hook

• Size E/5 or 3.50mm Crochet Hook (for beaks on babies and grownup birds)

• Yarn Needle

• Stitch Marker

• Scissors

• Polyester Fiberfill

• Stuffing Tool

• Red Heart Super Saver Solids yarn—1 skein for each color
o Turqua for baby boy bird and father bird
o Perfect Pink for baby girl bird
o Bright Yellow for beaks and legs/feet on both babies and adult birds
o Black for eyes
o White for eggs
o Café Latte for nest
o Cherry Red for mother bird
o Carrot for mother bird
o Light Blue for father bird
