Description

The Birds Nest Snuggle is a great little Snuggle Tubbie for the wee animals. It is just large enough to be used for birds, mice, gerbils etc. These work up quickly and are so much fun to make that you might want to make one for yourself too.

Pattern Notes

Two strands of worsted yarn are held together throughout the nest to create the stiffness to keep it upright. Knit those stitches tightly!

from The Snuggles Project website

"The Snuggles Project was founded by our president Rae French, in 1996. ...the security blankets are called 'Snuggles'.

"...most shelter animals are kept in areas with stainless steel braces and hard plastic flooring or even bare concrete floors. The Snuggles would allow them to have a little reprieve from the coldness of the pen they are kept in.

"....while you are knitting, crocheting or sewing your Snuggles, please respect the originality and the future of the project and give credit where credit is due."
