When I designed the Peacock Tea Towel, I added bird tracks at the top as a bit of detailing. Then it occurred to me that a matching dishcloth might be ‘fun’! Tunie thought it was a great idea, and so this dishcloth took form.

My first choice of yarn is Bernat Handicrafter 100% cotton worsted weight yarn, but as this cloth is to go with the matching tea towel, I used the Araucania Ulmo. The dishcloth only weighs in at 29 gr and measures 8 1/4”W x 8 1/2”H. Using the Bernat yarn would take about 8 or 9 more grams, I think.

Many thanks to Tunie for test knitting for me again! Her enthusiasm is contagious!!

Happy knitting!
