This birthday cake is complete with flaming candles ready to be blown out!

Our cake is worked in the round in 2 pieces, and the seam will be hidden underneath the icing. So if you are a messy seamer like me, don’t worry, it won’t show.

Finished cake measures 9cm / 3 inches high and 14cm / 5 inches diameter.

Seed beads and bugle beads are used to finish. Main cake is stuffed with upholstery foam cut to size, and a little extra stuffing is place on top to give a nice curved shape. Thin wire is used to make the candles stand up.

It would make a very special gift for a special birthday, and can be personalised in many ways.
