A pair of simple 2x2 ribbed fingerless mitts with a delicate 2-stitch cable motif on the backs of the hands.

My husband, first daughter and I all have January birthdays and thankfully that month’s birthstone is one of my favorites. The garnet colorway of Shasta just seemed like the perfect combination of color and yarn to whip up a little something for myself this year. Since Shasta has colorways that match almost every birthstone these could make a great birthday gift for anyone!

This pattern contains written instructions for the main portion of the mitt and a chart for the cabled section.
