What am I missing?
Biscuit Scarf
Brioche is both a stitch pattern and a type of bread. I’ve found directions for both a little confusing, so I was delighted to find an old book with instructions that made sense and made the whole process less confusing. The combination of self-striping yarn & simplified instructions made this such a pleasure to knit that I’ve named this scarf pattern “Biscuit”. Just like quick breads, this is fast & easy, with an end result that’s a pleasure to enjoy!
Most brioche stitch patterns that I’ve seen use a smaller needle than the yarn typically calls for, to give a more dense fabric. This pattern utilizes the opposite logic, and uses a larger needle for a somewhat lacy and open effect.
Any fingering weight yarn that is about 14 wpi will be a good substitute, although I recommend self-striping yarn, to keep your interest keen through the whole project.
