It’s knit in the round from the crown out to the brim, and you may be able to squeak by with one ball of Noro’s scintillating Aurora. A fantastic quickie project or gift, it’s hypnotizing to watch the sparkling yarn knit up.

Despite the glitz of the yarn when in a ball, as a finished hat it’s quite restrained and lovely. It’s not quite a tam, not quite a beret, not quite a toque, heavy enough to add warmth when you’re outdoors, and light enough to keep it on when you come inside.
