Bizarden (Bizarres) is a Dutch name given to Tulip varieties with yellow or white streaks on a red, brown or purple background. They were at the heart of the ‘Tulip mania’ in 17th century Netherlands, being the rarest of all fancy varieties.

940 beads for the version in the first photo. Testers achieved various sizes measured down the ‘spine’ of the shawl towards the scallop, depending on the yarn , gauge and blocking.
