Black & Berry Hat
The “Black & Berry” - hat is knitted in one piece from the bottom up and in the round. The beautiful plastic cable pattern is created by knitting all right stitches twisted.
Size information: The described hat of size M fits a head circumference between 55 cm to 58 cm. The model on the photos has a head circumference of 56 cm.
The size can be changed by choosing a different yarn weight and/or a different knitting needle size.
Using an example, I explain in a little more detail how the size can be varied just by using different knitting needle sizes.
Thus, according to these instructions, the cap can be knitted both in children’s size and adult sizes.
Two variants of instructions: You can knit the hat either according to a chart or according to a word-only instruction.
Used yarn: Felted Tweed, color Barbara, 50 g or
Jamieson´s of Shetland Double Knitting, color Black, 50 g
Needle sizes: 3 mm knitting needle (double pointed or circular) for the brim; 3,5 mm needle for the hat body and the crone
Skill level: medium
Gauge: 26 stitches x 29 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm
Used techniques: twisted knit stitch, normal purl stitch, knitting in the round on double pointed needles, stitch decrease by knitting 2 stitches together, stitch increase by “yarn over needle”, cable knitting with a cable auxiliary knitting needle
Verwendetes Garn: Felted Tweed, Farbe Barbara, 50 g
Jamieson’s of Shetland Double Knitting, Farbe Schwarz, 50 g
Schwierigkeitsgrad: mittel
Maschenprobe: 26 Maschen x 29 Reihen = 10 cm x 10 cm
Verwendete Techniken: verschränkte Rechts-Maschen, normale Links-Maschen, Stricken auf einem Nadelspiel, Maschen rechts zusammenstricken, Umschlag, Zopfstricken mit einer Zopf-Hilfsstricknadel
