PDF pattern for a pair of fingerless mitts/gloves with a black cat on the front of each. The palms of the mitts are plain.

The mitts in the photographs were knitted using school grey Drops Alpaca 4ply weight yarn. The cats are in 4ply pure wool and are sitting upright, with their tails in the air, and have black bodies, green eyes, rose pink noses, pale silver grey whiskers and white patches under their chins. The mitts can be knitted in any 4ply wool, alpaca, cashmere or cotton.

The motifs are knitted using intarsia, but the mitts could be knitted in plain stocking stitch and the cats added afterwards using duplicate stitch.

The approximate measurements for the mitts are: 8.5cm/3.25” wide (unstretched and not counting the thumb), 12.75cm/5” long from top of ribbed cuff to cast-off edge and 2.5cm/1”deep ribbed cuff.

Charts for both left and right mitt are included, together with typed knitting instructions.
