I am slowly going through many designs that I finished and never had time to publish. This is just one of them, that I designed in 2015. I was amazed that when I pulled the sample out it was still perfectly blocked. So I was able to photograph and share it today!

This shawl is completely modular and can be made as a semi-circle or a full cape, or even as a full circle worked in the round. Contrasting beads are best in this design, as they are used to outline deep feathers. This project is for the confident lace knitter who is comfortable reading charts.

This piece is a full circle of 16 wedges (16 chart repeats.) Working back and forth (flat), 10 wedges make a perfect semi-circle shawl and 13 wedges make an elegant cape. 16 wedges, worked in the round, make a lovely full circle to use as a shawl, veil or blanket. The beads are always optional and you might choose to omit them for the blanket.

Directions, where different, are indicated as follows: 13 wedge cape (10 wedge semi-circle.)

Photos show 13 wedge cape.
