This lovely lace weight scarf is inspired by the ocean, which on Block Island is ever present. Whether it is the sound of the waves and smell of salt on the air or the the mindset of being apart from the mainland, the ocean defines our lives.

This is designed for one skein of North Light Fibers Forever Lace. However, the stitch pattern is easily adaptable and an extra skein will allow you to increase the length or width as you desire. Feeling another color? You have our (absolutely essential, of course) permission to ignore the name and go wild!

North Light Fibers is a Micro Yarn Mill located on Block Island, RI where handcrafted minimally processed yarns are produced from exotic fibers such as alpaca, yak, camel, cashmere, mohair, bison and other specialty fibers. All washing, dyeing, carding, spinning and finishing is performed here at the mill on the Island. Please come visit and take a tour of the mill and see the farm – walk among the alpaca and pat a yak or feed the Scottish highland bulls. Our goal is to establish year round economic sustainability to a very seasonal economy in addition to producing world-class yarn. We hope you enjoy it!
