Color Block is everywhere this year. On sweater’s, poncho’s, and even scarfs. I was inspired by all the colors and all the choices to create a scarf of fall colors. I made it long, but light, so I can double and triple wrap it around my neck.

The scarf is in a simple garter stitch worked in two directions moving the color blocks both long and short. Center of the scarf is knit first the long way then edge stitches are picked up on each side and knit the short way. This creates texture with the garter ridges as well as moves the blocks of color in two directions.

5 skeins Isager Alpaca Merino fingering (2- Color A # 36 Farve, 1- Color B #30 Black, 1- Color C #21 Lingonberry, 1- Color D #24 Orange)

A great use of leftover sock yarn
360 yds Color A, 115 yds each Color B & C, 140 Yds Color D

I have included some photos of other color combinations to inspire you.
