The cowl is worked in the round throughout using stranded knitting. Colors should not be woven or twisted only stranded. Every row is knitted. The cowl is worked from side to side in a tube and then joined to the cast on edge when the correct length. If you would prefer your cowl a little longer there is a small amount of yarn left over in each color to work a few additional pattern repeats. A slip stitch is worked on every other round between the two chart patterns to create decorative edges which also give the cowl shape.
