Bloody Mary began with the idea of a deep red, kinda long, cozy, tweedy sweater. I wanted to play with the 1960s silhouette of a low belted dress and combine it with cables to create a flattering structural element. The combination proved to be simple but bold, and very flattering.

For those of you who prefer a shorter sweater, with just a little adjustment to length and proportion Bloody Mary can end at the hip. Deep ribbings and chunky buttons play off the bold cables, and everything slants inward for a little extra slimming trick. And that red was the perfect red.

Yardage by size: 1000(1100,1200,1300,1400,1500,1600,1700,1800,1900)yards. For shorter version, use about 100 yds less than suggested amount.
