I needed a plant hanger for my indoor plants that was not only strong, but beautiful. After looking online for one that was reasonably priced, I decided to make my own. This hanger features an openwork crochet design for the basket that represents flower blooms ending in a picot “stamen”. The bottom ruffle is a complimentary open lace design. The hangers are designed to be strong enough to hold up a potted plant weighing about 8 lbs. Of course, your hook and décor have to hold just as much weight for it to work. Using the worsted weight cotton yarn will provide a little stretch so that an 8” pot fits tightly into it. When making your planter, be sure to securely tie off and weave in ends to prevent unraveling. You don’t want to lose your plant and pot!

This design will be part of an eBook that will be released in the coming months.
