Oh, this poncho!! I just love it!! The colors are gorgeous and the drape is fabulous!! It’s perfect with jeans and boots on those days when you need a little extra warmth but just want to be comfortable. Plus, the poncho measures 44” wide by 52” long so you get plenty of coverage while staying super stylish! I wanted a vintage look for this poncho, and the shell stitch achieves that perfectly. It’s a beautiful stitch and an easy repeat so it’s very relaxing to crochet. An added benefit is that it’s reversible. One side looks a little more like stripes, and the other side looks a little more like dots so you get two looks in one. And it practically named itself since I used Jeans yarn from Lion Brand. I kept singing “Tiny Dancer” in my head. Hahaha!! You know the line - “Blue jean baby, L.A. Lady…” Whether you sing while you crochet or not, you’re going to love this piece. You will need 4 skeins of Jeans yarn in Stonewash, 4 skeins in Brand New, 2 skeins in Top Stitch, and 2 skeins in Khaki. You will only use a small amount of the 4th Stonewash, and the 2nd Khaki. Also, I measured the gauge by the number of shells. I had 2 1/2 shells in 4”.
