This versatile shawl made with yarn spun from recycled jeans is fun and flexible. After the initial set-up and one round of chart A, you are free to mix and match charts B through E as you wish. Pick one and repeat it as many times as you’d like then add the border. Or explore
possibilities with rearranging the charts however you wish. As long as you complete a full repeat of all of the rows in each pattern repeat and are ready to restart Row 1 of charts B-E, you can pick any chart you’d like! The border pattern will add two inches so when the main
pattern area is the size you’d like before the border, stop at the end of the last row on the WS and start the Border chart.

Because I try to encourage everyone to work from charts, no written directions are given for the stitch patterns. But you do have your choice of regular charts or stitch-maps, which show symbols in the actual flow of the stitch patterns. Each stitch map indicates the edge, center and repeat stitches as in the regular chart. If you’d like to see continuous row repeats of the patterns click on the links below the maps.
