Oceano Azul or Blue Ocean is like getting a gentle hug from the warm oceans of Hawaii or even Greece.

This sweater is knitted with holding 2 yarns together: Maai and Silk Cloud. The silk cloud gives the sweater that warm fuzzy feeling while the Maai keeps you warm.

Blue Ocean is knitted from the front band to the back band in one piece, then seamed to create arm holes for your sleeves.

I used 7 skeins of Maai and 4 skeins of silk cloud to make the sweater. You are more than welcome to try out different yarns. I recommend a lofty chain construction as this will help keep the sweater light weight, but warm.

Gauge is important. Take time to check your gauge as you do not want to run out of yarn.

Techniques:

  • Tubular cast on
  • Brioche
  • Tubular bind off
  • Knitting in the round
  • Seaming

I hope you enjoy knitting this as much as I did.
