The Blue Ridge Knots of Love Cowl is designed using a stitch called the love knot (lk). It is made by grouping sc and dc together to form a wonderful texture and look. This is a great pattern for all crochet levels…and a wonderful project for beginners. The pattern is easy to follow, and includes clear picture tutorials. Estimated time needed to complete this cowl is 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Pattern is available in US and UK terms. Finished measurements are 9 inches wide x 26 inches around, but instructions are given in the pattern for adjusting length and width to customize fit. Pattern may also be worked using any size yarn and hook desired. Thicker yarns will produce and heavier/bulkier cowl, while thinner yarns will produce a smaller/lightweight cowl. Although gauge is not important for this project, 9 rows of 4 love knots worked with a J/10 6.00mm hook = 4in x 4in square.
