The blueberry shawl is a lacy triangular shawl worked from the center. There is a multi-row pattern repeat, which can be worked as many times as desired before working the border. The shawl pattern works with any weight yarn, from lace to bulky, and can be made any size.

Level: Intermediate
The pattern uses post stitches, but the picture tutorial makes it accessible to the advanced beginner who is looking for a challenge.

Size: Adjustable
The size will depend on yarn used and can be changed by working more pattern repeats. The shawl is approximately twice as wide as it is deep. The pictured shawl used a little less than 100g of fingering weight yarn and is 30” wide and 15” deep.

This is an instant PDF pattern download. The pattern is written in English using US crochet terms. The PDF download includes:

  • The complete pattern for the shawl
  • A picture tutorial with 19 pictures detailing every row and all special stitches
  • A list of materials
  • A list of abbreviations
  • Information to change the size of the shawl

Two pdfs are included: a printer friendly pattern and a longer tutorial.

I made the pictured shawl with Patons Kroy Socks in Sing’n the Blues Stripes and an E (3.5 mm) crochet hook. The pattern can be made with any weight yarn and a corresponding hook. It has been tested in yarn weights ranging from lace to bulky.
