These instructions will guide you towards a basic doll with a moveable (pull-off-able) head, bendy wired arms and button jointed hips so he’s a pretty flexible fella!

It’s worked in the round and written using US terminology.

You’ll need:
A fairly solid, not too stretchy yarn - same as with any amigurumi creation and the smallest hook that works without splitting the yarn so much that it becomes a chore.

My current favourite is Drops Lima which is a DK/8ply yarn (65%wool/35%alpaca) and a 2mm hook. The finished doll with this combination is about 13cm or 5” tall.

You’ll also need:
A marker to mark the ends of your rounds (hair grips work well)
stuffing
pair of 9mm eyes
2 small buttons (old shirt buttons are ideal)
about 15cm heavy duty wire for the arms with pliers to bend
needle for sewing buttons and maybe sewing thread

This is just the basic doll pattern - I’ll be putting details on my website for variations so you can make any kind of super hero/chibi/commemorative/monster type doll. You just need to decorate to your hearts content :)
