This little man is six inches (15 centimetres) high and delightfully roundy and squooshable. Plain as he is, he makes an excellent base for any imaginative toy.

He (or she) is knit seamlessly on one 30 inch (72 cm) circular needle. You’ll need to know increases and decreases. You’ll need one “start” stitchmarker, one “midpoint” stitchmarker, and four “increase” stitchmarkers.

Worked with 4mm needles and DK yarn. Gauge 6 stitches and 7 rows per inch in the round. You will also need scrap yarn in a contrasting colour and a tapestry needle.

Pattern updated 13 May 2012 to correct some counting errors, pattern repeats and technique instructions. Much better now.
