Thank you all for your wonderful support. Enjoy knitting your Bobicus hat in memory of the 2010 Ravelympic Games.

Please note!: If you put the pattern in your Ravelry library before February 24, 2010 and do not have the version that has that date below the title please let me know) and I will send you the corrected version free of charge.

A special thank you to MysticStormy who was the first to knit the pattern and very helpfully pointed out a couple of mistakes/unclear bits that have been corrected in the newer version. If your copy does not say “revised February 24, 2010” below the title you need to download the new one.

Based on the hat Bob is wearing in Octagonfudge’s awesome graphics for the 2010 Ravelympics.

Inspired by the Ravelympic designer challenge this earflap cap is available for both adults and children and includes an optional fleece liner for extra warmth or to ease the itchiness for those who are wool sensitive.

Recommended for intermediate knitters mainly because it does not include detailed tutorials for various techniques. Don’t let that intimidate you if you are a newer knitter. None of the techniques is difficult and instructions for all can be found in many books and websites.

The earflaps are knit first. Additional stitches are cast on and the remainder of the hat is knit in the round. Increases, decreases, the cabled cast on, I-cord and stranded colorwork are all employed.

Errata: Make sure you have the February 24, 2010 revision of the pattern. Please let the designer polarbears know if you find errors or have questions about the pattern.
