On June 21st 2014 my friend Alex completed a non-stop 100km (62m) charity walk from London to Brighton to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. It’s the second time she attempted it - in 2013 brave effort was stymied by blisters around 3/4 of the way - it was a REALLY tough challenge. The walk was in memory of Alex’s dad Bob, raising money to help the BHF combat heart disease. By downloading this pattern you can support the BHDF with a donation, and help to promote the link between walking and a healthy heart!

The hat is designed to be roomy and comfortable and to come down over the wearer’s ears – ideal for long walks…

I’m working on an honesty box principle here so I don’t have to give any cut to PayPal or the taxman - this pattern is not free, it’s available in exchange for a donation! I’m relying on you, honest Ravelers, to do the right thing…
