This is Mom’s latest (and my favorite) slouch hat design:
Bohemian Slouch Hat. It is a great pattern for the Intermediate Knitter. It features brim/band created out of the Staghead Cable as well as raised circles spaced around the body of the hat, which provides lovely texture & 3D appeal. The band is knitted sideways & the body is knitted from the bottom up. We used Willow Yarn’s Brook, which is a wonderful 50/50 wool & acrylic yarn that is very soft & drapes really well. It is very important to use a yarn that drapes well for this hat, so you get a nice “slouch” effect. It only requires 1 skein of yarn (approx. 206 yards). Mom used Size 7/16” Circular Needles, Size 7 Double Point Needle & a Blunt Needle for finishing. I love wearing this hat…..it is both stylish & very comfortable!! xxx Julie-Ann
