“Bold & Beautiful Afghan” is a gorgeous pattern for the Experienced Knitter, that Mom designed several years ago & gave the finished blanket to her Granddaughter when she got married. It is made out of Red Heart’s Collage Yarn in Red, which is a lovely self-striping yarn that has rich color variation. But you can use any Aran weight, self-striping yarn of your choice! This afghan features an exquisite diamond cable pattern traveling vertically up the blanket & is finished off with a neat ribbed edging. The pattern requires approximately 12 skeins of yarn, with each skein having 218 yards. Mom prefers knitting with circular needles & used Size 8, 36” circular needles for this project. The pattern also calls for 1 Cable Needle as well. “Bold & Beautiful Afghan”, once completed, is a warm, thick, beautifully textured work of art!! You will love it!!
