This textured cowl has just the right pop of color to brighten your day. You can of course knit it all in one solid color as well since the center stripe is worked in double moss stitch and will stand out against the Garter stitch background of the rest of the cowl. The photos of the pink cowl are an example of this pattern worked in a solid color. I used a skein of Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted in the shade Victorian Pink for it.

The cowl measures approximately 28” around x 7” in height and instructions for making a taller cowl with more stripes are also included in the pattern.

You will need about 200 yards (collectively of all colors used) of Worsted weight yarn such as Cascade 220. You will need more if making a taller cowl. I used the colors Silver Gray and California Poppy (less than a skein each) to make the cowl in the photos.
