As of 20 July 2020, and as a result of the accessibility issues of the new Ravelry layout, my two shawl designs are available for free. This pattern was updated on Nov. 11, 2015. It now contains TWO patterns: a large triangle shawl pattern in DK weight (shown in undyed cream BFL), and a shallow triangle shawl (shown in purple-blue variegated yarn) in fingering weight. You can easily mix and match both patterns to obtain the shape and style you wish in the yarn weight of your choice.

Bonbon is a triangle shawl designed especially for those beautiful variegated yarns that we can’t seem to resist, but that can be difficult to match to a pattern. This pattern avoids pooling and will make the most of the beautiful colour variations in hand-dyed yarn. It will also work well in a tonal, speckled or solid yarn, and of course in handspun.

The initial design, the Bonbon Shawlette, is a shallow triangle knit with 100 grams of fingering weight yarn.
While sharing the same stitches as its little sister, the Bonbon Shawl is a regular triangle shawl knit with 200 grams of DK yarn. The middle increase is also different.

The knitting of both the shawl and shawlette is fun and simple, without much purling, making this enjoyable and quick to finish - just like a box of bonbons!
