I designed this shawl for a friend of mine who loves to cocoon herself in blankets.

I would rate this pattern as easy; but because of the number of different stitches used, it is intermediate.

The pattern has 2 sizes: Large and Extra-Large.
Large is approximately 193cm x 102cm (76” wide x 40”) long.
Extra-Large is approximately 239cm x 114cm (94” wide x 45”) long.
Your gauge, hook, and yarn may vary this result.

Adjusting this pattern for smaller or larger sizes is simple to do.

There are also 2 styles to choose from, which is why there is a difference in the edging in the images.

Patons Canadiana and Premier Ever-Soft are soft, comfortable worsted weight yarns that are also inexpensive.
You can use all Patons Canadiana if preferred, or any similar yarn. I used the Premier Ever Soft with Patons Canadiana because it was what I had at the time and they are similar.

Large uses approximately 6 skeins of Dark Grey Mix Patons Canadiana, 1/3 of a skein of Black Patons Canadiana, and, just over a half a skein of Rust Premier Ever Soft.

Extra-Large uses approximately 7 skeins of Dark Grey Mix Patons Canadiana, 2/3 of a skein of Black Patons Canadiana, and, just 1.5 skeins of Rust Premier Ever Soft.
