Row gauge is missing from the pattern, it is 6 rows per inch or 24 over 4 inches in garter.

Errata: The decrease round for the 22 inch size should say:

For Child(19”) and Adult L (22”) ending on a knit row, work decrease row: p17(20), p2tog; repeat to
end. 54,63

This is also now available on Knit Picks through the IDP. The Knit Picks pattern is a little different. It is written for Swish Bulky and does not have the two largest sizes.

Big Boo and Little Boo,
live in the woods,
together they walk,
through the trees,
whispering their secrets,
to the birds and bees.
filling their bellies with honey and tea,
Will they save some
for you and me?

12/16/2010- corrected a typo in directions for earflaps :
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 : 2 2, 3, 3, 4, 4 times. There is a new file download as of 12/16/2010

I’ve had this pattern in my head for a while but for some reason hadn’t gotten it out until now. I am calling it Boo because it reminds me of a sweet little bear that I made up. My toddler loves to hear me sing (no idea why). I made up this rhyme when he was very little. He often requests my singing and when he does, this is what I sing to him.

Pattern notes: This hat is knit in the round either on a circular needle or double pointed needles. The ear flaps are picked up and knit from the cast on edge after the main body of the hat is completed. The ears are knit separately and sewn on.

Pattern includes 6 sizes. There is also a link in the pattern to a tutorial on my blog for pom making.

Please check your gauge and adjust needle size if needed.

Pattern has been test knitted and tech edited. Please contact me if you find any errors.
