Boogie Baby Pants were designed with baby wearing mamas in mind!

Here is what I wanted to achieve with the help of short rows, increases and generous crotch width:

  • to prevent the pants riding up and exposing little legs to the elements, while baby is being carried.
  • to allow for the full range of movement, while baby is crawling, toddling, boogying or doing whatever it is that babies like doing.
  • to allow for all sorts of both cloth and disposable nappies to be worn comfortably without the top of the pants riding down.

The pants are worked in the round top down with crotch stitches grafted at the end.

Hope you enjoy!

Update: 19.10.16
I’ve published a new revised version of the PDF pattern as a mistake has been identified in the original one.
The stitch count for leg after all decreases are done should be as follows: 36 (35, 40, 43, 48) sts

Another update: 1.11.16
I’ve now added a detailed picture tutorial for German Short rows to the pattern.
