As books are made of paper, in a sense they are set apart from the Wood element—the wood in them is no longer alive; it is inert. A little green bookmark, with a leaf on either end, can counteract that sense. For no one could ever say that books aren’t nourishing, or that a home filled with books could be anything less than peaceful and strong.
