This is a bookmark that wraps all the way around the book you are reading marking your spot and buttons in place. Size is adjustable because of the eyelets and it will fit most paperbacks all the way up to bigger hardbacks.

No more worrying about those pesky bookmarks falling out anymore.

Materials

Sewing needle
Hook Size 6/1.80MM
#10 cotton thread in any color you wish
1 small button
1 small bead (I had some 5mm beads on hand but you can use whatever you would like. The bead just makes it easier to grab the tongue to pull through.)

On double crochet rows, skip the first stitch of the row as Ch3 counts as first double crochet. If you would rather do a Chainless Starting Double Crochet that is just fine just eliminate the CH3 at the ends of the rows.

Directions for a Chainless Starting Double Crochet here (not my video): https://youtu.be/aduDzuchP6c

To use place end with the button in book, wrap remaining around back of book, feed beaded end through the hole at the bottom, tighten up as much as needed and feed button through eyelet so bookmark is secure.

Feel free to make as many as you would like and do with them as you choose (give away, sell, sacrifice to demons, etc.) but please do not sell this pattern.

This is my first pattern, if you find any errors or something looks hinky please please please let me know.
