Knit in a worsted weight yarn with lots of ease, Bookworm makes for the coziest sweater to throw on over anything, any time!

The body is worked bottom up, and the shoulders are shaped with short rows and joined at the top with a 3-needle bind off. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up from the body, and then the sleeves are knit in the round from the top down with an easy lace panel. The lace pattern is both written and charted.

The pattern provides a wide and slim sleeve option. The wide sleeves are especially great for fitting over other layers like your favourite flannel shirt, but the slim sleeves are not too tight either, so both options allow for easy layering.

Use any worsted weight yarn that can be knit to the pattern gauge of 18 sts per 10 cm (4 inches). The grey sample shown is knit in Rauwerk Merino Heavy DK, colour ‘Kies’, and the gold sample is knit in Julie Asselin Nurtured, colour ‘miel’.

The sizes shown above are the finished circumference when the front sections meet in the middle. A size that is approximately 17-22 cm (7-9 inches) larger than your actual bust measurement is recommended.
