I designed the Bookworm Vest for my growing bookworms (pictured). My oldest, Emma (now 8), has been a voracious reader since the age of 4. According to her, the 4 best authors are:

  1. Roald Dahl
  2. Charles Dickens
  3. William Shakespeare
  4. Beatrix Potter

My son, Tommy (now 5), is into anything animal, dinosaur, or warrior themed. This certainly explains why he is looking at the story of the Minotaur pictured here.

The Bookworm Vest is a charming top worked in the round from the bottom up. It features a funky little set of staggered zig-zags around the bottom half. The pattern includes instructions on how to make two different necklines: crew-neck and scoop-neck.
