Get ready to experiment an unusual and challenging type
of construction.

Boombox hat is an original two colors hat stranded in an op-art style slip stitch pattern knitted top down with a fold-under brim. The stranding combined with the overall slip stitches and the luciousness of malabrigo Sock produce a thick cushy fabric for a warm head under cold conditions.

Boombox hat requires unusual shaping with DPNs at the casting on. Some finition is required.

This pattern is charted, opitmized for readability and contains no line by line written instructions.

Pattern difficulty : intermediate advanced.
Materials and tools required:
-yarn suggested : malabrigo Sock.
1 skein in a main color and 0,5 skein in a contrasting color.
-A set of nine 2,75mm DPNs
(I suggest you to use two different sets of flexible DPNs.
1 in bamboo, 1 in plastic, or they can just differ by color.)
-colored stitch markers (at least 4)
-a 2,75 mm (US 2) circular needle (24 inches)
-a 2,25 mm (US 1) circular needle (24 inches)
-(optional) 1 inch wide elastic band, 24 inches long
