The interplay of textures – knitted lace against gathered velvet – lends richness and visual interest to this elegant bolster pillow. Inspired by the upstairs décor of saloons of yore, Bordello would make a stylish and supportive addition to your boudoir or sitting room.

The pillow is worked in the round from end to end, with picot hems knitted in as you go. A velvet cover is sewn with drawstrings for easy removal. End squares are sewn with covered buttons attached for an attractive and decorative solution to the problem of slightly gaping drawstring closures at each end of the bolster. The buttons are covered with velvet and then encased in additional knitted lace to complete the effect.
