This pattern is my basic go to sock pattern with a twist. As I was bored on a plane and really wanted to do something that would make the colors of the yarn stand out.

  • update under Gusset--Place Marker, knitting off the second needle to the first needle, k1, ssk, knit until 3 sts from end, k2 tog, k1. Place Marker Rnd 2, and all even rounds knit. Maintaining the ribbing on the instep needle. Repeat these 2 rounds until you are back to 32 sts on the bottom side, 64 sts total. Continue pattern on the top side of sock and K all sts on bottom side until foot measures 2 inches less than desired finished length.

** update to toe--I cut a 10 inch tail then insert needles and the tail, through the hole, turn the sock inside out, now bind off with a three needle bind off.

Yarn used: Sunset Hair (Platinum Blonde) by Witch Candy
