This cowl is knit with lace weight yarn held double, and features cables and pleats. It is ideally knit in a yarn with a slight halo and drape.
Increases are worked on the purl sections between the cables; the work is then finished with pleats and a series of horizontal cords, before sewing the ends together.

Materials
1 skein of Dublin Dye Co Alpaca Lace
3.5 mm needle (or size needed to achieve gauge)
2.5 mm needle
additional 2.5 mm or smaller needle, for picking up stitches
2 double pointed needles, for working pleats. 3.5 mm or slightly smaller cable needle
stitch markers

Gauge:
26 st / 34 rows per 10 cm stocking stitch on 3.5 mm
Note: gauge & fit are not crucial to this project, but will affect the size of the finished cowl and quantity of yarn used.
