This scarf was designed to match the Bosc Hat.

Inspired by the graceful curves of ripe pears, the Bosc Scarf’s lush texture is simple to knit with easily-worked lace stitches and basic cables. Complementary lace borders and a clean edge treatment maintain sleek modern lines.

Worsted weight wool yarn makes for a speedy project, and gives structure to both the stitch pattern and the scarf as it drapes around the neck. The pattern offers options to knitters with both charted and written instructions.

From the cast on straight through to the bind off, this elegant scarf flies off the needles with satisfyingly easy, but intricate-looking, stitches that are truly fun to knit, with no grafting or provisional cast-on necessary!

A note on scarf measurements: The finished measurements are approximately 9” wide by 76” long for the yardage specified. Although gauge is not critical for a scarf, working at a different gauge may require additional yardage.

Many knitters have adapted the length for a customized fit and made this shorter, even as short as 24” long. The pattern gives instructions on where to make the change if adapting length.
