Learn German ‘No-Wrap’ Short Rows… If you’ve ever worked standard wrap and turn short rows you will love these. They are super quick, have no wrapping to pick up & no holes left.

Special thank you to Roxanne Richardson for allowing me to use her video links.

Overview

Thick, luxurious and versatile, Nomad style, with several ways to wear.

Quick to knit with Jumbo yarn on big needles.

Worked in one piece lower right to left.
Single short seam up the back.

I recommend being familiar enough with Seed Stitch (K1, P1, K1 all rows)
to be able to visually recognize which stitch needs to go next.

Materials

160 -180 yds (145 -160 m) of Jumbo yarn @ 2 - 3 WPI

Samples
Multi color = Malabrigo ‘Rasta’ in Zarzamora {2 hanks}
Black = Schulana ‘Cortina’ in black {I used all of 3 balls & no tassel}

US15 (10 mm) OR US 17 (12.75 mm) needles
I knit tightly, if you knit loosely start with US 15

2 stitch markers + 1 locking stitch marker (or scrap yarn)
Darning needle
1-4 buttons + elastic thread (all optional)

Gauge

Gauge in Seed Stich
8.25 stitches and 11.5 rows = 4” (10 cm) square as knit,

Your 27 stitch piece should measure aprox 13” (33 cm) across.

It’s ok if its a little off, but it’s better to be smaller than larger, seed stitch is very stretchy and the piece can be blocked lightly to size if necessary.
