• Original Pattern taken from the January 1860 Godey’s Lady’s Book. Translation to modern knitting terms by Colleen Formby. No gauge information provided in this version. Made available January 2006.

• A loop is put on one end, in front, and a button on the other, it crossed over and buttoned at the back; the back is fastened to a cord and tassels passing round the waist and tied in front.
